The National Weather Service has issued is a Winter Weather Advisory for our area beginning tonight from 9 PM – 5 AM Friday.
The Association’s snow removal contractor begins plowing operations after 2″ of snowfall has accumulated, and will return intermittently until the snow stops falling, and surfaces are reasonably passable. I will continue to be in contact with the snow removal contractor throughout the snow event. We will keep an eye out for trouble areas, especially in shaded areas throughout the community.
The Association is responsible for snow removal operations from:
Davis Point Lane
North Channel Drive
Settling Pond Lane
South Channel Drive
Smith’s Cove Lane
The HOA is responsible for shoveling the public walkways and the lead walks for the Condominiums. Townhome owners are responsible for removing snow from the walkway to their front doors, and all residents are responsible for removing snow from their driveways. The Public Roads in the Association, as designated by the City of Greenbelt, are Greenbelt Station Parkway, North Center Drive, South Center Drive, and Stream Bank Lane. If there is a problem concerning road conditions, advise the Public Works Department at 301-474-8004. If you lose power or see downed power lines, report immediately to your utility company: Pepco- (1877) 737-2662, BGE: (1877) 778-2222.
