Call Me Dancer is an award-winning documentary film starring dancer Manish Chouhan and directed by Pip Gilmour and Leslie Shampaine. Sign up to attend either or both FREE programs:

Street/hip-hop dance workshop with Manish Chouhan. 11 am – 12:30 pm, Greenbelt Community Center gym. Ages 10-adult. No prior experience is needed.

Screening at the Greenbelt Cinema (main auditorium, 1:30 pm) followed by a Q&A with Manish Chouhan and Leslie Shampaine.

Film synopsis: A street dancer from Mumbai struggles against his parents’ insistence that he follow a traditional path. Then he meets a curmudgeonly Israeli ballet master, who inspires him to follow his dreams. Rated PG. Running time: 1hr 24 minutes.
