Winter Weather Reminder – How the Association Responds to Snow

As we enter the winter season, please keep the following information in mind regarding the Association’s snow response procedures.

Monitoring & Coordination
Management closely monitors all winter weather events and remains in regular communication with the snow removal contractor to ensure timely updates and readiness.

Snow Removal Operations
The Association’s contractor begins plowing once 2 inches of snow have accumulated. Crews will return periodically throughout the storm until snowfall has ended and all Association-maintained surfaces are reasonably passable. They will also monitor and address trouble spots, including shaded areas that tend to refreeze.

Association-Maintained Roads & Areas
The Association is responsible for snow removal on the following private streets and alleyways:

  • Davis Point Lane
  • North Channel Drive
  • Sable Court
  • Settling Pond Lane
  • South Channel Drive
  • Smith’s Cove Lane
  • Miner Street
  • All Alleyways

City-Maintained Public Roads
These roads are maintained by the City of Greenbelt:

  • Greenbelt Station Parkway
  • North Center Drive
  • South Center Drive
  • Stream Bank Lane

For public road conditions, please contact Greenbelt Public Works at 301-474-8004.

Sidewalks & Walkways

  • The Association clears sidewalks and the lead walks serving the condominium buildings.
  • Townhome owners must clear the walkway from the sidewalk to their front door.
  • All residents are responsible for clearing their driveways.

Power Outages
Report outages or downed power lines directly to your utility provider:

  • Pepco: 1-877-737-2662
  • BGE: 1-877-778-2222

Management will provide additional updates during significant weather events. If you have questions or concerns, please email greenhoa@ciramail.com or leave a message at 571-363-4045.

Stay safe and stay informed!
